SSBB Character review 3

Today, Gamah Watch's character review is Ike.

One of Melee's major problem was clone characters. Seriously, if you want a character, make him/her unique, right? Roy was a clone of Marth. I happened to prefer Roy over Marth (and HS liked Marth, so it worked out) and I was pretty disappointed to hear that he did not make it back into Brawl. So when I saw Ike, I hoped that he would sort of replace Roy, but at the same time I wanted Ike to have a unique move-set, because I'm generally against clones. So when i tried him out, I was pretty pleased - I liked him better than I had liked Roy. His Up+b move was like Kirby's, but it differed enough. It it perfect for throwing your sword at the cheap people on the edge, waiting for you to get back on and strike - so that they get knocked away right before you get back on. His Side+b move lets him charge up for as long as you like, then dash quickly to the side and smash the first thing you touch. It is a very handy recovery move for horizontal recovering, and his real recovery move handles the vertical recovering well, so Ike is very strong in that aspect.

Down+b is a counter move, like Roy's and Marth. Must be a Fire Emblem swordsman's trademark.

B is a charge move, which hits people relatively upward, and has pretty good distance for a short-range attack.

He has powerful smash moves and standard combo, and he isn't too slow... He's medium speed and very, very powerful.

His Final Smash is called the Great Aether, a much stronger version of his recovery move. If you aim well, you will pretty much kill anyone you hit when you release it. It's schweet.

As the cheerers say, "We like Ike!"
