SSBB Character review 11

Pit
Pit was another character that I was excited to play as when he was first revealed. I liked him as a character, and thought it was cool that they decided to bring him back after so many years.
He has more jumps than normal characters, but fewer than the five-six-ers like Meta Knight, Kirby, Dedede and Jigglypuff. This isn't exactly true to his roots, he wasn't able to use his wings in Kid Icarus... I don't worry about it though, how long has he had to learn to fly? Long enough...
His recovery move is excellent, one of the best in the game. When triggered from the ground, he gets an extra boost into the air. I haven't quite figured it out, honestly - but sometimes it last longer than others. I think if you keep steering him up, left and right then he will stay air-borne longer, but if you leave him idle the move will end. This move does no damage as some recovery moves do.
His regular B move is a quick arrow-shot, which can be steered slightly if you are quick enough. This can also be aimed straight up into the air. It doesn't do too much damage, but it is quick and will momentarily stop an enemy in their tracks. His Over+B move is strong and handy, but can quickly get cheap. He swiftly whirls his bow/swords around in a circle, which rapidly damages and may trap an enemy. That is where it gets cheap, because you can keep pressing B to keep it going, causing much frustration in your opponent. I suggest not doing this if you play fair.
His Down+B move is a shield, which also works as a reflector. This can be pretty handy.

His A moves consist of slices, jabs and twirls with his sword. His standard A move can be pretty powerful if you keep it going, though not cheap like his Over+B.

Pit's Final Smash is kind of lame in my opinion, but still effective. He calls an image of Palutena, then sends a bunch of Fairies warriors to fly at your opponent.

Overall I like Pit a lot (there aren't many characters I don't like), and he can be a very good character if you use him right.
