For the US, the launch of WiiWare and a new Wii Channel are scheduled for the same day, May 12th.
The new channel will be called the Nintendo Channel. We will be contacting Nintendo for more details on this soon, but we know that it could be used similarly to a DS Download Station for DS demos, and you can also view advertisements/trailers, but until we have official confirmation we will just wait to hear more.
