Changes

As I've said before, I hope to make some changes to GW on/before/around the new year, those are still under wraps... however, something has come up that is making me consider handing ownership of the site over.

I have thoroughly enjoyed creating and supporting this site since it started in January, and hope that I've done a good job and that it has been a good experience for the readers. However, being head-admin/owner can be taxing, and now that it seems that the best move may be to put GW into new hands, I'm almost looking forward to it.
Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to get this off my hands to whoever is willing - I will make sure that whoever takes the responsibility will be ready and I very much hope that they can take it farther than I did... raising the bar.

Also, as far as the rest of the Staff team is concerned (I'm announcing this to them now as well) I do not know what will happen. I am almost certain that HS will remain involved when the new ownership occurs, as GW is as much his as it is mine. As for the rest of them, there is a chance that they can still participate.
Regarding my own participation: My hope is this. My spot as owner will be taken over, and I will remain on staff, making the occasional post while the new owner supplies their own great content and reliable team. That is pretty much best-case-scenario.

The question; when does this happen?
I am not even sure, but sometime between the first and third quarter of 2009 is my guess. Until further notice, we will carry on as usual and I will be enjoying it as much as possible while looking for the right person to "carry the torch."
