As I mentioned a few days ago, I had contacted Nintendo with a pricing inquiry on the game Wii Fit. Nintendo replied, saying that the US pricing information had not been officially released. That didn't help me much, of course - but I understand that that is all they could do.
Even so, some people are saying that it will cost $90 - I'm guessing that they are just converting the Japanese price to USD, and saying that that is what it will cost.
$90 may be a good guess, but I hope it isn't.
Wii Fit was first revealed under the title "Wii Helath Pack", which describes it's purpose better than Wii Fit, in my opinion. The main attraction is the peripheral packaged with it - the Wii Balance Board. The WBB is able to sense your weight (like your bathroom scale), but also knows where the heavier half is, and where your heals and toes are putting pressure, etc. You can use this to exercises in many different ways, such as hoola-hooping, skiing, jogging, boxing, soccer, and more. You can even do Yoga stretches and push-ups with it.
If there is one game you could convince your parents to buy for you, it would be this.
As long as the price is right. I know the Balance Board is an advanced piece of hardware, but $40? (New games are $50, 90 - 50... Yeah - you get it.) And, I'm sorry - but I'm doubting the software merits $50. We'll just see about the pricing, I suppose.
