I was reading a Nintendo press Release a few minutes ago on new DS software that (cough) slipped by my notice earlier, seems how it is a recently launched cooking trainer.
It is described as a recipe/shopping list assistant, and can take you step-by-step through food items when cooking them. If your hands are too tied up stirring, chopping, etc. you can use the voice recognition feature to proceed to the next step.
Now, I've seen and heard about the DS being used in many different ways, but... it seems like Nintendo is trying to use the hardware in every possible aspect they can. How many of us cook? Right. But the DS is madly successful, so why not put out a cooking game? I was further surprised at the end when it reminded us to be watching in '09 for Personal Training: Walking
Now, I could see the Wii Remote being used as a pedometer with its motion sensor and speaker, but the DS?
I'm interested to see how that works.
