-Graphics
The first thing you are bound to notice when playing this game is the graphics and (the opening) cinematics. This game uses an uncommon hand-draw style, which works really well with this game. They aren't anything special, but it flows with the stlye of gameplay.
However, especially in the (somewhat lengthy for this type of game) opening scene, they feel stiff, like a low-frame-per-minute cutscene. It reminds me of Sonic And the Secret Rings' style of cinematics, which I have never been fond of.
So I think it works in places, and in others they could have used a lot more hand-drawn frames.
-Story
A bunch of Merfles (fairly-like creatures) have been stolen by the Shake King, who also conveniently stole a bottomless bag of money. So when one Merfles escapes the King's grasp and takes Wario into the Shake Dimension, our main character happily obliges. He's in it for the money, while attempting to set the Merfels free along the way.
-Music
I don't have much to say about it, other than it is really annoying. Trumpets and pianos are used... and it pretty much stinks. Sorry, not something I would enjoy listening to.
-Gameplay
This introduces some interesting ideas, which can be fun for a while. Like one world (1/5 of the game) or so. Then it gets boring and repetitious. As the title implies, you're going to be shaking your remote a lot. This means lots and lots of up/down.
Stunned enemies can be picked up and shaken, sometimes garlic (life) will come out. But Life is hardly ever, ever necessary except for on bosses, when there is no garlic around.
Most enemies can walk right into you without damaging you, which adds to the easiness of the game.
The game is not hard to get through, you will most likely only die on bosses. The only thing really difficult about it is the objectives. Each stage has 3+ special objectives you can accomplish while beating the game (retrieving the Merfle and going back to the beginning before the timer runs out), which prove to be way too hard and often frustrating.
Once beating a world and its boss, you can buy more maps (sets of levels) with coins that you had gathered previously.
Overall, it is unbalanced, but can be entertaining for a while.
I would give it a solid rent, but not much more.
